Murdaface vs. Nothing Boy

I am wearing an orange bandana.
I thought about getting dreadlocks.
But they are a lot of work. And money.
And I honestly only wanted them for like a month.
But from what I've been reading, they only start to look good after a month.
So what should I do?

!!!If you comment I'll write a blurb about you that you can use in your next book or song, or whatever!!!

Pros:
-Looking sweet
-Lots of girls will want on me
-I can't think of another

Cons:
-Lots of money and work to maintain
-They might start to smell
-It takes at least 4 hours to dread hair
-And more than one person

I DON'T KNOW.
I'm going for another bike ride today. This time to Belmar.
I washed my car. It looks nice.
I want some Surf Taco.

I thought about getting dreads two or three years ago. Pretty much decided against it for the following reasons:

1) They require a deceptively extensive amount of care. Care that I'm far too lazy to provide.
2) It takes them a long time to start to look good, like dreads instead of fuzzballs. Time that I'm far too impatient to spend looking like a frizzball. (And roots sometimes stay frizzy and that would bother me a lot.)
3) I would have only kept them for a year or so-- until I had to start interviewing for jobs/ internships/ etc. Sucks, but it's reality.
4) Most of the time, taking them out requires removal of hair. As in cutting it off. If I had short hair, I'm relatively certain I'd look like a boy. This is not appealing to me (but I think wouldn't be as big of a problem for you as you are, in fact, a boy).
5) I've been growing my hair for a long-ass time. So I definitely didn't want to cut it off. (And cutting it off, again, results in me looking like a boy... though, statistically speaking, looking like a boy might help me get a job/ get paid fairly for a job oh snap!)
6) Even the parts of the hair that can be salvaged during the undreading-- end up pretty messed up. Which, once again, results in heavy-handed trims and, thereby, (you guessed it!) in me looking like a boy.

The only real positive points I could think of were:

1) It would be awesome
2) So! Awesome!

I think it's not really worth the time, effort, and money unless it's going to be a long-term thing.

:(

(ps I'm not stalking you. Swear. You were linked on Andrew's blog.)

Yeah, I have come to realize these are all indeed very true statements. However, I think I am going to dread it just for the fuck of it because you only live once. And I don't care how it looks, I'll just cut it off if it looks bad haha

Thanks for the advice though!
